Today was a great cook day with my client, Danielle! Leading up to this day, we had already reviewed the menu together a couple of days ago, ensuring it was perfectly tailored to her tastes and preferences:

This morning, I set out to gather the fresh ingredients I needed. I visited several grocery stores, hand-selecting the best produce, meats, and spices for our planned dishes. In Texas, where the heat can be intense, I packed everything into coolers to keep it fresh during transport.

Arriving at Danielle’s home, I got to work right away. I washed and prepped all the ingredients, laying everything out methodically. It’s satisfying to see the vibrant colors and fresh scents come together as I prepare to cook each dish we had planned.

As I moved through the menu, I focused on the standout dishes we had chosen. For Day 4, I prepared the teriyaki bison, allowing the marinade to infuse the meat while it cooked, ensuring that every bite would be juicy and flavorful. The broccoli was lightly charred to bring out its vibrant green color and a subtle crunch, making it a perfect complement to the bison. For Day 3, the chicken curry simmered on the stove, filling the kitchen with warm spices, while the rice was prepared to fluffy perfection.

Each dish came together harmoniously, showcasing the ingredients’ natural flavors and textures. Once everything was plated, I carefully packaged and labeled each meal, ensuring they were neatly stored in Danielle's fridge, ready for her to enjoy throughout the week. Knowing that I had crafted meals with such thoughtfulness and attention to detail made the day incredibly rewarding!
